The Hunt

Growing up my Grandma Johnsen had a tradition of hiding our Easter bags and using a scavenger hunt with clues to find them. Since Will can now read, we decided to start this tradition with our family. The Easter Bunny left a note giving instructions on how to find their baskets. Once they solved the first clue it led them to other clues. It was fun watching the kids figure out the answers on their own.
As the older kids were distracted with looking for the next clue, I caught Timmy hiding behind the couch with a stockpile of Easter eggs. Look at that guilty face!
The clues led the kids from the bathtub, to the clothes dryer, on to the refrigerator, then to the oven and finally the garage.
Santa Clause originally got the wiggle cars for the kids but thought it would be better if they came from the Easter Bunny. What a guy!
Once they found their baskets they were able to fill them up with Easter eggs hidden throughout the house.
Finally our traditional family picture with everyone in their Easter outfits before we head out to Church. We had such a wonderful and uplifting Easter!
