Brad and I tried to teach Lizzy how to ride her bike without training wheels but she was too nervous to focus and would end up crashing on the grass. We gave up all too easily. Then one day as I am checking on the kids outside I see Lizzy riding her bike around the driveway with no difficulty. How did she learn? From the Master Teacher, of course. Will apparently has a no mercy attitude when teaching and forced her down the backyard hill to work on her balance. His teaching methods were a success! Then last week as we were swimming, I saw Lizzy’s arm floaties on the side of the pool. There she was swimming in the deep end and jumping off the diving board with Will’s encouragement. Again, the Master Teacher had succeeded. Not only has Will been forcing Lizzy to face her fears but the neighbor girl landed a front flip on the tramp thanks to him. Why pay for lessons when you live with the Master Teacher? (all photos courtesy of Will, including the self portrait)

Fudge
Families are like Fudge - mostly sweet with a few nuts! (author unknown)
It was time once again for a weekend full of late night chats, playing games, silliness, sleeping in, shopping, laughter and of course eating.

The Great Outdoors
Our first camping trip of the season was a success with exception of the crazies who shot off fireworks and guns until 4:00 a.m. At least our kids slept through it all but it woke me up from my beauty sleep. What is roughing it in tents without some sleepless nights?
We were joined by Jake and Erin's family, who supplied the endless entertainment of a 4-wheeler. Will was obsessed and rode it more than anyone else.
I know I am biased but is this not the sweetest picture of Timmy? He loved the ride!
Nothing is complete in our family without Superman. He joined us on the camping trip as well :)
The surroundings were beautiful and on one of our excursions through the mountains we came upon our new friend. We named him Rocky!
At the top of the mountain Erin and I spent 30 minutes trying to get the perfect picture of us jumping for joy. The self-timer was never the same speed and needless to say we got our workout for the day.
Our nights were spent roasting marshmallows and sitting around the fire. Have you ever thought about forever? Don't, it will make your head explode, according to Jake. Good times had by all!
