Play Ball!
We have arrived--we are little league parents. Willy had his first T-Ball game this week. It started out a little rough as Willy wouldn't run the bases without Brad running along side him. What a sight to see, Brad running in his suit with Willy skipping around the base path. He hit the ball well but while in the outfield he was too cold to move his feet as a ball rolled right by him. The most exciting part of the game for Willy was when the coach told the team they were being treated to snow cones. In his eyes it was all worth it! Go White Sox!!

Transition to Big Bed
After fighting it for the last couple of weeks we decided to move Elizabeth into a big bed. Matthew out grew the bassinet long ago and he really needed the crib that Lizzy was sleeping in. We bought bunk beds for Will and Lizzy to share. It has been a joke trying to get Lizzy to stay in bed at night. She literally gets out of bed 20+ times. It has made me laugh to see her little hand sticking out from underneath the bedroom door or trying to open the door unsuccessfully and banging on it until someone comes to her rescue. The second she sees me or Brad she turns around and runs for her bed as fast as her little legs can carry her. Tonight I hear this quiet grunting sound and when I go to check on her she is stuck between the bed and the wall unable to move. Thankfully Will can sleep through a marching band and is snoozing the entire time.

Baby Chicks
This past week my sister invited us to her kindergarten class to watch baby chicks hatch. For those of you who know me well, I am not much of an animal person - big or small. My mother is allergic to anything that has hair and for most of our childhood we were only allowed goldfish as pets, although we did have two great cats named Yicky and Yucky. To say the least, most animals make me nervous, even small baby chicks. Erin, my sister-in-law and animal lover, had to talk me into holding the chick for a picture. I was afraid it would jump out of my hand and suffer an untimely death. Anyway, it lived and is enjoying life as we know it. Thanks sis for letting us come to your class and thanks to Erin, the chick whisperer!!

Pictures from our Daily Life
Playing hide-and-seek with the kids and capturing Lizzy's expression when I found her hiding behind the door.

The many hours we spend playing in the tubes, tent and house Grandpa and Grandma Clark gave us for Christmas.

Owning the greatest baby item invented, which gives me the chance to play with the kids and keep Matthew happy at the same time.
