Date Night

It was almost a historical moment for me and Brad.  We had 2 date nights planned in one weekend and the last time this happened was before we had kids.  We met our friends Troy and Carisa for dinner.  Carisa and I have been friends since our days of working at Franklin Covey (almost 10 years ago) and graduated from the U of U together.  We had such a great time and came up with some fun "extracurricular activities".

Saturday night we had plans to go to the Utah/Weber State Football game, which my sister so kindly agreed to watch our kids.  On the way to our house another car ran a yield sign and hit her.  She called me upset but was still willing to watch our kids.  Who wants to babysit after being in a car accident?  Instead, our date night turned into a father/son outing with Will taking my ticket.  But don't feel any pity for me because my thoughtful brother, Jake, bought us tickets to the Utah/Oregon State game as another attempt for date night.  The game was exciting down to the game winning field goal and more than made up for our lost historical moment!
