We have made it a decade, my best friend and I. We have made it through 7 moves including one from the southeast to the northwest of the country. We have made it through undergraduate degrees and a Juris Doctorate from law school. We have traveled to Jamaica, Europe, Mexico, British Columbia and many states within the US. We have made it through 4 pregnancies and births, some a little more scary than others. We have coached soccer and baseball, attended dance recitals and school programs, spent hours at the Instacare and run marathons (both literally and figuratively). Together we have gone through the stress and anxiety of looking for a job to the relief and reassurance of being employed. We have had our ups and down these past 10-years but luckily we have made it and come through stronger. To celebrate our success, Brad and I abandoned the kids for a getaway to Vegas. Too bad we did not take many pictures to document the fabulous time we had together.
Our daily routine consisted of sleeping in, exercising, eating breakfast, lying by the pool, taking long naps and spending an evening out. Our first stop, The Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay. You can see by the look in my eyes, I was a little nervous being so close to the gator, even though we were separated by the glass.

One of my favorite highlights of the trip was seeing the Titanic Exhibit. You felt like you were on the set of the movie Titanic, the only thing missing was Leo Decaprio! An actual piece (26 feet by 12 feet) of the ship was on display that soaked in a solution for over 2 years to rid the metal of salt corrosion. A giant piece of ice, the size of a car, was available to touch and illustrated that the ocean water was colder than the ice. I could only keep my hand on it for 5 seconds before it became uncomfortably cold. No pictures were allowed inside the exhibit. Each person that entered was given a boarding pass of a real passenger on the Titanic. At the end of the exhibit there was a list of those who survived and those who perished. My boarding ticket was Edith Evans, first class passenger traveling with her cousins. She was told one week prior to boarding the Titanic by a psychic to avoid water. She did not survive.
We spent an evening at the Bellagio were we attended the Cirque du Soleil show "O". We loved it! I am always in awe by the strength of the performers. I don't have a picture of us at the show but I did come across these long stem roses. Love me some long stem roses!
On our actual anniversary we dined at Gallagher's Steakhouse and saw The Lion King. The performance was fabulous and a great way to celebrate 10 years together.
I am looking forward to many more years to come!!
